The Language Of Flowers
In Europe and America, during the 1800’s, society
developed complex meanings for different flower varieties
and flower varieties. Society has changed and we urge you
to not get "hung up" on meanings which originated over
a hundred years ago. The one exception is RED ROSES.
EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS WHAT RED ROSES MEAN!!!
Nevertheless, a common quuestion is still,
"What do flower colors mean?" So, here are a few flowers
and their most common traditional meanings:
Red Roses....I love you
Yellow Roses....Try to care
Pink Roses....Please believe me
White Roses....Innocence
White/Red Roses....Unity
Crimson Roses....Mourning
Chrysanthemum....You're a wonderful friend
Camation-solid....Yes
Carnation-striped....No
Daisy....Innocence
Daffodil....You are the only one
Geranium....Stupidity
Hyacinth,,,,I'm sorry
Orchid....Mature charm
On Mother's Day and Easter, a lady wears a white corsage if her mother is deceased; any other color if her mother is still
living.
